Aisha Y. Steptoe, Founder & Principal of The Emergent Group, is an experienced and strategic leader with over 20 years of supply chain, management consulting, and business transformation experience. She has worked for leading global organizations such as The Coca Cola Company, KPMG LLP, Georgia Pacific, and General Mills, Inc. where she developed operational strategies that optimized business processes and operational effectiveness in several areas of supply chain including manufacturing, demand planning, supply/logistics planning, inventory management, transportation, and product commercialization.
Prior to establishing The Emergent Group, Aisha was the Group Director of System Transformation Operations in The Coca Cola Company’s North America supply chain organization. In this role, she was a senior leader in a strategic, cross-functional team formed to execute the company’s 21st Century Beverage Partnership Model, which became the largest refranchising initiative in the Consumer Products industry. She also created the supply chain business integration strategy and playbook for the company's key M&A and divestiture initiatives and successfully integrated multiple acquisitions into Coca Cola’s supply chain organization.
Aisha’s prior industry roles include Director, Supply Chain Management for Domtar (formerly Associated Hygienic Products LLC, the leading private label manufacturer of baby diapers) and led manufacturing, supply planning, procurement, product commercialization, and customer-specific logistics programs for key national customers such as Wal-Mart and Target. She also held prior roles with KPMG LLP as a Management Consultant, Georgia Pacific in a Category Planning role for the Retail Consumer Products Division and began her career in supply chain with General Mills in a variety of Supply/Logistics Planning, Demand Planning, Manufacturing, and Distribution roles
Aisha has an MBA in Supply Chain Management & Marketing from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Bachelor of Science degree in Aviation Technology from Purdue University. She is a native of New York and resides in Atlanta, Georgia.
